Vail Rotary Club, formally chartered as Rotary Club of Vail - Eagle Valley, was established on 9 June 1970. It was the first international service club organized in the community. (The first local community service event was the annual Rummage Sale, which stimulated the inception of the Eagle Valley Community Fund.)
