He owned and operated the Red Rock ranch and the Daggett store in Gypsum until 1897, when he went to Fulford, as postmaster and store operator. ..Later he was employed in the Eagle river canon. ... Adrian Reynolds, Jr., a newspaper man from Kansas who came to Eagle County. He first ran a newspaper in Red Cliff, then in 1918 purchased the Eagle Valley Enterprise in Eagle, which he ran until his death in 1948.

June Frey was the editor of "The Nugget", a student publication produced for Red Cliff Union High School. June graduated from RCUHS in 1947. Several editions of "The Nugget" are available from Eagle Valley Library District and at the Red Cliff Museum in Red Cliff, Colorado.
