Thomas Jefferson Hampson was a miner at the Monarch Mining District in Chaffee County, Colorado, during the 1880s. These are excerpts from some of the newspaper columns he sent from Garfield to the editor of the Salida Mail from 1885-1889. This transcript is part of the Donna Nevens Collection.
