Roy Marfitano in his U.S. Army uniform prior to being discharged after World War II. He is standing on the steps of a building. Roy, Ronnie Dump and Buster Beck enlisted together in 1943. Roy worked in the Gilman Mine assay office from 1948-1972.

Bud Beck, being shipped from Mindinao, Philippines, to Japan, to act as occupation troops at the end of World War II. At the time, Bud was a T-5 (corporal) and a medic in the 193 Regiment of the 41st Division. "I have no idea what ship we were on, we spent so much time on ships that it was easy to lose track. I was 22 years old at the time."

Graduation photograph of Sam Rodriguez, Red Cliff Union High School, 1947. He enlisted in the Army on October 18, 1948. He was killed in action February 12, 1951 in South Korea.
