Construction of the gazebo in Red Cliff town park. The park is the site of the former Eagle County building when Red Cliff was the county seat. The park area underwent beautification in 1999; this photo was taken in October.

"E. Nogal, Sneeve" [verso caption]
Should this caption be correct, we are looking at Edgar or Ernie [Arthur Earnest] Nogal holding the burro's reins. Charles and Rosetta Metheny Nogal, parents of these two, were early pioneers in Eagle in the late 1800s.
"Sneeve" might be Anthony Sneve, born in 1860 in Norway, who was the homesteader on the West Brush Creek ranch that is now Sylvan Lake State Park. Sneve was "fastidious in his manners and his person....

The Yeoman Park Ranger Station (Eagle Ranger District) on East Brush Creek, Colorado. Barn and implement shed are along drive before station. An automobile is parked by the central building.
A Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp was situated near the station. The foundations are visible today. The campground is convenient to the Holy Cross Wilderness, the old mining town of Fulford, and Fulford Cave.
