MacDonald Knight standing on abandoned lumber on Francy Pass. The lumber was intended for the Gold Bug Mine gold mill building. When photographed in the mid-1980s, this mine shack was still standing on the east side of New York Mountain, above New York Lake and the timberline. The building was made of milled wood. In recent years, the structure has collapsed.
