Two miners push a cart of ore down a narrow section of a tunnel in the California Mine. Their only source of light appears to be the two candles they are holding. The California Mine was located in the Eagle River Canyon. The mine changed hands over the years. In 1904, it was owned by Mrs. N. J. Dunn.
