A journal written by Alfred Borah. Borah was an early settler to the Brush Creek Valley. He was a rancher and would sometimes lead hunting and fishing parties with his brother, Jake Borah. The years covered in this journal are from April 1880 to September 1886. This journal covers some of Borah's earliest days in Eagle County beginning in 1882.

I loved my horse, we wanted to bring him to Phx [Phoenix], Station Agent said nothing could be put in big Rail Road car, we were bringing furniture with us. Alda Borah's high school diploma. Alda graduated from the Eagle County High School in Gypsum on May 18, 1916. The diploma is signed by Ollie Graham, County Superintendent; A. C. Johnson, Principal; Mack Fleck, Chas Gustafson, and William Henry Lea, High School Committee members. A seal for the Eagle County High School is visible in the bottom left corner.
