Lucy Doll standing in front of the original Doll family cabin at Dotsero. Franklin and his brother Samuel arrived at Dotsero in 1886. They purchased a ranch in Gypsum Valley which became the Doll Brothers and Condon ranch. Franklin brought his wife Lucy and children Sam and Susan to Dotsero in 1887, coming from Ohio. The family spent the winter of 1887 in this cabin. [Either this photo or 2012.012.001 is flipped.]

"When Renee and Charlotte Wolf bought the Ebert Ranch on Conger Mesa in 1973, this is how the house looked to them. It was built by Rudolph Ebert about 1912 or right after the homestead cabin was burned to the ground. "Built in 1915, this house on the Schrupp ranch replaced the homestead cabin of 1905 which was much too small for a large family. After Mrs. Schrupp's death in 1913, the older children began leaving home one at a time until Mr. Schrupp passed away in 1938. Henry Schrupp then operated the ranch until Charley and Josephine Ray bought it and lived here before selling the ranch to Raymond Horn, many years later. The Derby Mesa Schoolhouse on the right; accompanying teacherage on the left. Gaylord Clark was hired as teacher from 1933-1935. Daughter, Lou Clark (Layman) was born to Barbara and Gaylord Clark in the teacherage on September 12, 1933, joining sister, Barbara Jean . An automobile is parked between the buildings and laundry is drying on the clothesline.
