"Old country" could be referring to Denmark, where the Larsen family originated. His uniform suggests this was during Duane's time in the army.
Duane, smaller and in the front, looks at his sister, Melissa, who is piling up potatoes. Potatoes were an important crop to early ranchers and farmers in the Eagle Valley.
Friendship is timeless. Senior Girls in 1929. There is a little boy standing in the background holding his hat that could be Duane Larsen.
