This photo shows the planting of the first trees, as well as the construction of some of the tent cottages at Swedish Hospital. Seated on the wagon seat, holding the horse reins is Charles John Sandell. His son, Erwin Charles Sandell, then about 12 yrs. old, is seated on the edge of the wagon at the back wheel. Dr. Charles A Bundsen, founder of Swedish Hospital, is wearing the white scarf and is seated on the ground second from the left.

Second from left in the foreground is Charles A. Bundsen, founder of the hospital. Third form the left is Crown Prince Wilhelm of Sweden. This photo was taken at the dedication of the what is now the Education Building.
